Ferraris and Fine Dining in the Hamptons
By:  Steven Kaplan

The last weekend of August turned out to be the best weekend for the Hamptons this past summer.  It started out with over one hundred Ferraris with an estimated value of over $75 million dollars participating in the second annual Ferrari Hampton’s Rally.  The luxurious day was the epitome of luxury and distinction—an East End afternoon of exclusive world-renowned vehicles, stylish surroundings, gourmet bites and refreshing cocktails.
The glamorous red-carpet event hosted at one of East Hampton’s finest dining and nightlife venues, Georgica Restaurant & Lounge located at 108 Wainscott Stone Road at Old Montauk Highway, East Hampton, New York, hosted an invitation-only guest-list of jet-setters, from celebrities and socialites, to media and business moguls.  Nearly 70 Ferrari aficionados partook in the Hamptons rally where drivers cruised past breathtaking estates, polo fields, vineyards, marinas and the ocean, all of which was preceded by an intimate brunch reception.  Following the rally, drivers and guests enjoyed a late afternoon fête which was complete with specialty cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
As founder and host of the event, Nathaniel Christian is a Ferrari enthusiast and collector — the long time New York resident credits his passion and fondness for the history and craftsmanship of the vehicles as his inspiration for the event.  Nathaniel Christian has become a luxury lifestyle expert, as a real estate, fashion, restaurant and nightlife entrepreneur.
After the Ferrari event we drove just down the road to Bridgehampton Polo.  Once again, the Bridgehampton Polo Club hosted the Mercedes Benz Polo Challenge at the Blue Star Jets Field.  The sports’ greatest athletes competed for one of Polo’s most treasured prizes.  Headed by event organizer, Strategic Group, the Polo season commenced on July 24, 2010 and ran for six consecutive Saturdays.  We were there for the last match on August 28th.  Many of the East Ends most high-profile and influential V.I.P.’s, celebrities, and media attended the event.
A local landmark, the casual-chic, Tudor-style Inn is home to ninety recently-renovated guestrooms, each individually decorated to reflect the effortlessly stylish allure of the Hamptons.
After Polo, we headed over the Southampton Inn, a one-of-a-kind Hampton’s Hideaway.   An idyllic East End escape for bustling city-dwellers, the Southampton Inn is nestled on more-than-five acres of manicured lawns and lushly landscaped grounds.

Lindsay Lohan - Is this Art?
By Fred Rosen

With much excitement, Richard Phillips debuted his work at the Gagosian Gallery.  Is Lindsay Lohan really the subject of Art?  Many ponder this question as they view the wall size murals, and continuous stream video of Lindsay surfing the waves in the darkened back room of the gallery at the opening night of the exhibit.   Whether this is art is one for the ages.  However, art is stranger than fiction, and the murals certainly depict not only the truth behind the work but also the talents of Richard Phillips.
